1914 Hubley, Official League Ball and Bats Cast Iron Bank
Classic early Ball and Bats by Hubley. Three bats stood up on end forming a tripod which nests the ball. Very clever. All cast iron although some of the Hubley catalogs of the period state that the ball is aluminum. The catalog also indicates that a version with gold bats was produced which I've never seen. It's marked American and National, Official 1914 League Ball, and Design Patd. with number. Embossed "stitching" on both sides. Includes original assembly screw and nut, but most likely it's been opened. Size: 5¼". Sold: Apr. 2013sa
